Rediscover Hope, Rebuild Your Life

Our three-phase program helps you find stability, growth, and independence.

A Comprehensive Path to Recovery and Independence

At Divergent Recovery Center, we believe recovery is more than just breaking free from addiction—it’s about rebuilding your life with a strong foundation of support, structure, and accountability. Our program is designed specifically for underserved communities, including justice-involved individuals and marginalized populations, providing the tools and guidance necessary for long-term recovery and independence.

We understand that every journey is different, which is why we offer a three-phase recovery program focused on helping residents stabilize, build life skills, and prepare for independent living. Our inclusive, trauma-informed approach ensures that residents heal both physically and emotionally while receiving the support they need from peers and mentors who’ve been through similar challenges.

How Our Three-Phase Program Works:

Stabilization and Orientation (First 30 Days)

Recovery starts with stability. In the first phase, residents enter a highly structured environment focused on breaking old patterns. During these first 30 days, residents write and present a “Goodbye Letter to Addiction” at a group meeting, symbolizing their commitment to change. They also participate in intensive group therapy, secure employment, and find a sponsor in a 12-step program. This phase is about laying the foundation for long-term recovery, with full accountability and support.

After stabilizing, residents move to a phase of growth. In this phase, the focus is on personal development and relapse prevention. Residents work closely with their sponsors to complete steps 1 and 2 of their recovery program, develop a personalized relapse prevention plan, and start building healthier relationships and habits. They gain more independence through limited weekend passes, while continuing to work and engage with their support network.
In the final phase, residents prepare for life outside of the recovery residence. This phase is focused on reintegration into the community, life skills development, and continued personal growth. Residents work through steps 3 and beyond in their recovery program, present a 5-page “Life Story” to the house, and create a comprehensive exit plan. They also develop a support network of trusted individuals to help them navigate life after the program. Longer weekend passes are allowed during this phase as residents gain more confidence in their ability to live independently.

A Holistic Approach to Recovery

At Divergent Recovery Center, we take a holistic approach to recovery, recognizing that addiction is often tied to deeper issues like trauma and social instability. That’s why we provide trauma-informed care, helping residents address the emotional and psychological factors contributing to their substance use. Through individual therapy, group counseling, and trauma-focused interventions, residents gain the tools they need to heal on multiple levels.

Our program also places a strong emphasis on peer mentorship. Our Certified Peer Specialists, many of whom have lived experience with addiction, provide guidance and support throughout the recovery process. This peer-led approach ensures that residents feel understood, empowered, and accountable as they move through the phases of their recovery.

Building a Future of Independence

Our goal is not only to help residents overcome addiction but also to equip them with the life skills needed for a stable and independent future. Life skills workshops provide practical tools for managing finances, securing employment, and navigating personal relationships. We also offer employment support, helping residents find jobs that align with their recovery goals. By the time they complete the program, residents are prepared for a life of independence, with a strong support network in place to help them succeed.
